FDR stated he strongly opposed government employees having the right to unionize. Why have Repub strategists never hammered that fact home during political campaigns. FDR is one of their saints - no doubt he had good reason to warn that the pressures placed by gov worker unions on taxpayers would be both unfair and injust. That's the type of golden nugget of truth that Repubs need to use more often. When truth is on your side, as it is with the GOP candidates, you only need to constantly repeat the facts in order to win votes from rational, intelligent Americans.
