Bizarre for sure. Something had to have happened to her? Giving any other republican only two weeks to get on the ballot? It's like she wanted the republican to lose. Then there is that reason that she wants to accomplish a move to the center from outside? My thinking is that these are sad days for America - tolerance of others ideas has disappeared. We see it in politics and we see it in daily dialogue here on SI where what used to be a place for the center - the centered is barely tolerated. I always liked Snowe and felt comfortable with her positions.
