I have contacted my friend who runs the industry association and I will post the answer to the CNG nozzle question when I get it.

Best,

JRH

i called clean energy to inquire about cng as well as lng nozzle standards.

the lng nozzles the truckers will find at any of the various fueling stations whether they are clne or some other brand will be the same standard nozzles for inputting the lng to the tank receptacle.

there is more to the cng nozzles only due to legacy buses and older tanks on some cars and trucks. within about the last five years all the tanks and nozzles are set up for 3600 psi, and it is a standard nozzle connection (see photos in the link for question 6). there are a few legacy 3000 psi tanks/vehicles out there, and they are 1mm different at the receptacle. for safety reasons a 3600 psi nozzle will not fit a 3000 psi tank receptacle. a 3600 psi tank is rated at 5000 psi, and that is the safety margin. a 3000 psi tank is rated at a lower top pressure, and i don't know what it is (yet). for completeness a 3000 psi nozzle will fit a 3600 psi tank receptacle, but there will not be many (at some airports for older buses/trucks/cars) or any 3000 psi commercial fueling stations for that legacy tank receptacle.

so the answer is any cng vehicle sold for quite a long time uses the same, standard nozzle and tank receptacle, and it is for 3600 psi.
