I think most centrist dems are satisfied with Obama, and a "centrist" party is not going to attract the left- because it would probably be more right than Obama. I think a third party from the right, even the center right, will be a HUGE plus for Obama.

Any centrist candidate will be to the left of President Obama, but to the right of Candidate Obama.
