Mark--- What you described is done by thousands of people every day. To play 5K of TPRO and 1K of INTC at the same time through out a day is really not the toughest thing to do. We all must pay our taxes and I have not had a short term cap gain in many years. If an investor buys an issue such as TPRO at 5 and watches it fluctuate in price up to 12, traders want that same gain---just by rolling in and out on dips and spikes can see that percentage multiply tremendously. A neophyte wanting to trade must trade on paper for 6 - 12 months to get the feel of swings. Another must is to have a few favorites that he knows as well as his wife to feel the movements before they actually happen--- TPRO and INTC have been easy for me. To know losses will happen just as in investing but there is no time to wait for a recovery.A nice size core holding works well for me so all trades that may go past available cash just hit the credit account (I prefer a credit account over a margin account for issues like ALYD and TPRO). Have fun with the adventure but also have strict trading rules that are NEVER violated that may limit the upside but definetely limits the downside.
