I read the piece in IBD and my question is about the service stocks.shouldn't the equipment stocks move with the drillers?GD

The key will be how much better the new rates are
to previous ones. A couple thousand better won't
do it. Stock is selling at 15 times next years PE.
Will rates keep growing to sustain this PE?

I reckon deep water Gulf Mexico bubble has
not burst yet. Investors still expect every well to
produce 20000 BOD and never a dry hole again.
Think about the risk here.

Do you have to bring on the analysts again?
Last year insiders at the networking companies were
selling like mad and all them analysts at all those
big houses kept telling people its just normal profit
taking, paying kid's tution,etc and there ain't no
slow down in the sector. We all know what happened
this spring.

In the mean time, I think we might enter a trading
range for 6 month if we don't get another mass selloff like
last week. I'm leaning toward the later, there are
always people late to the party. Will another mass selloff
convince you we are going to give back 6 month worth of gains?
