The other side of the coin---------------which is taking the lives of old people or people who are disabled has yet to be aired. How we value, or rather don't value the lives of our boys and girls being born, is also reflected in the home healthcare and hospice industry through out America targeting older people. We have just been regaled with the fraud in Florida in which medicare numbers were used to submit fraudulent forms. That fraud was in the billions, as well as older people , not getting the help they needed. All that was needed by the unscrupulous were the Medicare numbers in the possession of the criminals. As I peruse the net, I find it is easy set up a Home Health Care type service or a Hospice------and file fraudulent claims. Now, aside from the fraudulent claims there are unscrupulous people who work to take documents to the older people allowing the death squads to take older people's homes-----------before they are in need of serious help. One such case I know of--------the hospice worker has gotten the grieving spouse to will their property to them. This one is tragic--------is there no code of ethics for these people? .
