While looking for information and comments on this company, I happened upon this:

fool.yahoo.com

You have to scroll down to get to the part dealing with Premier, but it is worth reading. The article compares the growth projections put forth by PL and growth rates at Netscape and Iomega (two very fast growing companies) which grew at 4x year over year. PL's projections put them at an amazing 17x. A heady rate, to be sure. One which begs the question, "How is a company of this size going to make that happen?"

The article also deals briefly with the rise and fall of other companies that have brought laser technology to market. Sobering memorials to high hopes.

It is an older article, but seems to ask still salient questions.

VectorVest puts a "hold" on the stock. They see a $2.00 value here. (Meaning the stock may be over-valued at this point.) Granted, they analyse based on real numbers. This company is trading on the hope that it has hit a home run. More than a home run, they believe they have hit one from LA to NYC. Knocked the cover off the ball and gone nuclear.

I've read that the company has confirmed deposits for 1200 of their systems. Is that a number anyone can verify? At 100 per month, that's one year of production.

Anyone want to tackle these issues?

Art, there is no easy to answer to any of these questions. A lot of the doubts are similar to the doubts people had about music CD's as replacements for vinyl. Of course, investing in PLSIA is not like investing in PG (well at the current multiples who knows!), there is of course a specultative/risky nature to the investment. I am long the stock but I am not betting my ranch on it. So far, I believe in management and they seem to be capable of managing growth. In terms of taking a contrarian approach and shorting the stock, perhaps you are aware that there is a substantial number of shares shorted. IMO this is a dangerous thing to do with this stock, but I may be wrong.

Regards,

Pancho

PS: I doubt the company would be involved with the solicitation you have received. In any event trust no one. Do your own homework.
