Yes, corruption is not limited to China. As you say, that is the root of current crisis in other Asian Tiger countries. Japan corporations have been in trouble lately for making extortion payments to Japanese mafia. Those bankers just just make loans to their friends , relatives, business partners who do not have the financial capability to pay off the loans, then dead loans, and crisis of the banks, then the crisis of the currency, the crisis of the anking systems, all pop out !!!! Exactly so. This is the heart of the current crisis in Asia. It is also referred to as "growing too fast", but that is just putting a good light on it. Integrity is very important, as these Asian countries are finding out.
