In addition to the proliferation of T/A packages in the hands of nouveaux stock traders, there is the incredible access to information available on the WWWeb now, that was never so handy before. Another factor is the new, WWWeb-trader + CNNfN herd instinct. Trading from overseas, and being connected to SI during the day, it is amazing to observe how everyone over there is watching teevee. Sometimes, I have to click on CNNfN's site to find out what the hell everyone is talking about {grin} Also amazing is how everyone takes for granted that "what's on teevee" is known by everyone else. The most important thing for us to identify is: The Trend. If we can simply avoid trading against the trend, we will all be a lot richer - whether we are index traders or equity investors. Clearly the Trend was UP last week. All I want on my trading console is one idiot light, jg - it's either GREEN or RED: The Trend. What's the Trend ? ( nothing else matters ) -Steve
