Hubby was in a business meeting in IL one time when a tornado warning sounded....Zipped down to the basement with the others....Said the noise was deafening, and frightening.... They were lucky there was just some minor damage to the hotel.... But also said when he got home, NEVER would he or we move to areas of tornados....

I feel so very sorry for all the families who lose everything....including their own family members sometimes. Have often wondered how many pets are killed because of these monster storms....

We had an F4 hit a local factory in 2004. Trucks and cars became part of the building. None of the 24 employees were injured. When they built the place the restrooms were in the middle of the building and were made as tornado shelters. The owners kept the employees on after the storm and paid them to help others who were hit as the factory was being rebuilt from the ground up.
