ed, you and I just disagree. I have already responded to everything in re forced abortions. To reiterate, it is particularly cruel and inhumane for a govt to force a woman to have an abortion, simply because the govt has an aggressive economic growth policy. What this means is that this is a serious violation of basic human rights. But since there are no guarantees of basic human rights in an oppressive communist regime, this policy continues. Your assumption that it is okay for a government or husband to "force your wife" to do something as inhumane as aborting her child only reinforces my point that you don't understand what human rights and freedom really are. I suppose it's a difference in cultures. As Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and Japan are finding out, corruption in business does not go forever without consequences. I don't mean to insult any citizen of those countries, as I am talking about integrity in the corporate world. America has more than her share of moral depravity and evil in the general sense. re So if you look at this from another angle, it is the government's fault by not setting up a financial aid program to help those families , and this cause those women to do abortion. Again, the US government is a fine example of the modern welfare state, and there is no shortage of welfare programs. Thirty years ago, when my Father started his family, he was making about $5.00 per hour or less. He only gradually got raises over the years from there. My sister did get welfare for a couple years, so it's not like I'm against welfare. She left an abusive, drug using husband, and she had two boys to care for. It is China's loss that they only allow one child. Because boys are preferred for a variety of reasons, it is not uncommon in China and in India to simply kill a healthy baby girl, after she is born. If you are not aware of this practice, you have your head in the sand. I guess you might think this is a fine practice. Here is something for you to consider, which was sent to me:Are there situations when abortion is the lesser of two evils? Which of the following 4 situations would you say abortion would be the best choice? 1. This preacher and wife are very, very, poor. They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she's pregnant with the 15th. They're living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending she get an abortion? 2. There is a couple, the father is sick with syphilis, the mother has TB. They have 4 children. The 1st is blind, 2nd is dead, 3rd is deaf, 4th has TB. She finds she's pregnant again. Given the extreme situation, would you consider recommending abortion? 3. A white man raped a black girl (13 years old) and she got pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion? 4. A teenage girl is pregnant. She's engaged, but not married and her fianc‚ is not the father of the baby. He is considering breaking off the marriage and he's very upset. Would you consider recommending abortion? What did you say... 1. If you said yes in the first case, you have just recommended killing John Wesley. One of the great evangelists in the 19th century. 2. If you said yes in the second case, you have just recommended killing Beethoven. 3. If you said yes in the third case, you have recommended killing Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer. 4. If you said yes to the fourth case, you have just recommended the killing of Jesus Christ !! Should we rethink abortion on demand? Who have we aborted that could have cured cancer, who could have been the world's next genius inventor or brilliant scientist, who would have discovered the cure for AIDS, or the next deadly virus that comes along...? Could anyone in life now be a replacement for Einstein, Billy Graham, President Lincoln? They were unique, never to be recreated. What a loss we have on our hands when over 4,000 unique individuals are killed every day by abortion! ------------------------- DK
