Thanks for the link.

I scouted around the web this weekend & still came up empty as to the BIG move up. Investors Business Daily made mention of CPWM but only reported the price/volume move up but didn't give any meaning to the reason for it.
As for selling 'they' say if you're nervous about what you own you should sell to the point where you can sleep at night. It's simplistic, but it does work. No crime in taking a profit. You can always buy-back in. I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. The year is almost over & personally I'd like to wait til next year simply to delay owing any cap gain tax til 4/99 if possible. But then again, if it shoots way up I'd be tempted to sell also.
Buying is easy-selling is the hard part.
Monday is going to be interesting.

CPWM did drop-but on very light volume. That's a good sign.
Now back to 34-not bad.

Cost Plus, Inc. Announces November Same Store Sales Up

OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 1997--Cost Plus,
Inc. CPWM announced today that its same store sales for the
four-week period ended November 29, 1997 increased 6.9%
from the same four-week period in 1996. Same store sales for
the forty-three-week period ended November 29, 1997 also
increased 6.9%.

Total sales for the four-week period ended November 29, 1997
were $29.7 million, a 20.7% increase from $24.6 million, for the
four-week period ended November 30, 1996. Year-to-date, total
sales for the forty-three-week period ended November 29, 1997
were $180.2 million, a 21.1% increase from $148.8 million, for
the same period last year.

During November 1997, the Company opened two new stores
located in Valencia, California and Sugar Land, Texas. As of
November 29, 1997, the Company operated 70 stores compared
to 58 stores as of November 30, 1996.
