Most of us are convinced that if we only anoint the right saviors they'll organize society so that everyone magically becomes better off. The truth lies elsewhere. There was a time when Milton F made the case for a free society. Forbes gave Hayek a place in the sun. They're largely forgotten and many now amalgamate their beliefs from The View and Bill Maher, et al. Foundational beliefs need replacement with better. Niall Ferguson, given enough exposure, might be part of a real answer.
