The way I see it. xDSL technology is changing every month,
who knows what is final format sever years later.
AMTI sure knows that more than TXN, they are willing to sell
itself to anyone who can put the money on the table.
I am looking at this issue a little different from your angle,
it matters to me how do I feel about AMTI to TXN, what is real fact.
not much about how TXN feels about AMTI deal, TXN is new comer in xDSL. TXN does not know when they can recover Billion $ investment
in new DRAM fabs yet, the loss in DRAM continues.
So, don't be so sure about AMTI yet until you see that 390M recovered.
If I buy TXN, it would not because of AMTI deal.
wish AMTI deal will be OK, Good luck to you.

The other choice is cable modems, but I believe the cable industry will not put up the money that is need to make the cable modems work.
