I have seen that first hand in my family... An aunt of mine once told me work hard and you can have a lot of wealth like me when you are old.. When she got old.. she had a mild stroke.. after that she never realised due to fear, her dream of traveling the world... She could have easily afforded a personal assistant.. but fear won out... her twilight years ground on for many years ... hiding out in her condo and watching tv... One of the saddest things I ever saw.. her mental capabilities were strong to the end but fear trumped logic... Money is a tool... losing sight of that can kill valuable life experience..
