What would be the catalyst for such a crash? How about private bondholders rejecting the Greek debt swap needed to avoid an official default?

I do know one thing.. I don't want to be long the market when that asteroid approaches our big blue marble in 2013.

For comparison, the Wall Street Journal notes these PE ratios for the S&P 500

Current March 2012 ~ 12 months trailing = 15.95
Year ago March 2011 ~ 12 months trailing = 18.15
Estimated forward 12 months = 13.12
Current dividend yield 2%
