Volatility will be brutal. Perhaps you can predict it and trade accordingly. For me, it is gambling because I cannot do so. Perhaps more informed, but gambling nonetheless.

The fundamentals being what they are, all that is required is patience and fortitude.

My gut tells me that standing pat and adding on significant downturns, but never ever selling, is The Way.

At about 65% gold and NGD, rest Treasuries. The KISS system firmly in place.

Fed is contemplating a new program of “sterilized” bond buying.

Under the new approach, the Fed would print new money to buy long-term mortgage or Treasury bonds but effectively tie up that money by borrowing it back for short periods at low rates. The aim of such an approach would be to relieve anxieties that money printing could fuel inflation later, a fear widely expressed by critics of the Fed’s previous efforts to aid the recovery
