As far a reputable outside source---look no further than the REFR Second Quarter Report: "Dr. Carl Lampert, founder of the consulting company Star Science, and former chromogenics group leader at the windows and day lighting group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory said of SPD technology: 'This represents one of the most innovative developments for the glass industry in the past twenty years. As the technology begins to grow and develop into commercial products, the usage will become more defined. It has such broad applications that there are many more benefits that are not yet apparent.'" Those familiar with Dr. Lampert's work and reputation know that this statement is quite an endorsement from someone not affiliated with the company.
