Exactly, the number reasoning for a boomer's action is "everyone else does it"

Sounds a lot like WS and DC.

The prior generation went through either one or both the GD and WWII
My father went thru both, the only wisdom he bestowed upon me was
to save money. I imagine protecting your children from the horrors of
hunger and war is a heavy burden. He came to America by himself in 1935 at the
age of 15 to meet his father. Less than 10 years later he was fighting
in Europe, it couldn't have been easy.

The only four major present events worth keeping an eye on:

FED stops QE’s

China takes the foot off the gas pedal

US pushes for exports + local energy production

And a distant 4th Europe acceptance of the inevitable

Talkin' about my generation. <g>
youtube.com
I remember taking umbrage about it being called the "Me generation" back in the late 60's. That name was spot on.
What a greedy bunch my generation has become.
