Ali, >>>People do not buy from Sanders. They buy from HP, IBM, Compaq, DEC, they buy systems AND, more impotrantly, SERVICE/SUPPORT from these reputable companies. They even may not want to care what is inside if this is really cost effective.<<<

You are right of course - companies care about being cost effective and they care about buying from reputable companies.

But, that is the whole point about Sanders. Is he a reputable person? Can a person of his character manage a truly reputable company and deliver on promises? If he takes money from his company even as they are losing money - and if he is manipulating his options for his personal benefit - and if he can't produce enough on time and cost effectively - will reputable people like Michael Dell and others buy from him? Can people trust him if he or his product is inside?

For some businesses and most reputable people - a good reputation counts quite a bit.

Mary

Beg to differ. What they are buying from reputable companies is quality. Service and support have become less important. You need very little service and support if you buy a product that has been carefully designed, manufactured and packaged.

Service and support needs began dwindling rapidly as technology appliances have become commodity items with lives of less than 2 years. The stuff is so cheap, it is less expensive to replace it when it breaks, rather than repair it. (IMHO, of course)
