I will not invest in companies with a good story unless they can also get the story out. DELL has a good PR machine and they know how and when to use it. There is no point is issuing a press release if the market is going to tank, the news will only get lost. When the market recovers everyone has forgotten the good news and a good opportunity, for shareholder value, is lost forever. <<Large, owner-managed "proprietorships" unfortunately are difficult to find. MSFT, Schwab, and Wal-Mart (back in the days of Sam Walton) are examples that come to mind .. This suggests that opportunities to buy into such companies, while they may not be common, do at least occasionally come along.>> I agree though they are difficult to find. My favourite at the moment is IONAY, a great growth stock IMO and they have finally got their PR machine to work for them. But beware I am biased because they are an Irish company. Check back with me in two years and see if my bias is justified. By the way one other reason for investing in DELL is Dellboy likes the power, feels that the share price is undervalued and bathes in the admiration bestowed on him from Wall Street. As long this keeps his adrenaline flowing I can sleep at night, knowing that really he is working for me!! Happy Investing!! Lightpen P.S. These are just my opinions
