You must have missed the part where, after the executives of GM were accused of flying in their private jets demanding bailout money, they then chose to drive from Michigan to Washington in prototype Volts.

Those guys are the ones who put the company in the ditch...and they were gone after the bailout.

Anyway, if it's all about saving jobs, then you should really give up on your defense of the Volt and focus on how GM is profitable because of other cars like the Cruze. That and having most of their liabilities taken over by the government (i.e. taxpayers).

I never connected it to the bailout....and I have always maintained that the company lacked a proper economy car lineup....to the derision of the thread morons.

How much are we still behind, anyway? $20B?

Was this guy giving it away to the unions too or showing a rare moment of responsible behavior?
