Just who do you think he was talking about? "So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them ...." You think he was talking about islam in Pennsylvania and in "small towns across the midwest"? Or buddism? Nope, those are christian folks. Maybe Catholics, maybe evangelical christians, maybe hardshell Baptists or Luthern, but they believe Christ is the Savior.....so that IS the religion he is speaking of.
