LOL

SEC is another job that should be easy and obvious. I'd like to see it funded by a trading fee and a bounty of what they collect from criminals with the stipulation that the criminals they capture have to spend time in jail equal to what would have happened if GZ took this same amount of money from his FL bank with a fake gun.

They can raise or lower the trading fee to generate enough to catch crooks who trade to manipulate the market, WHICH IS ILLEGAL. Instead, they want to go work for the hedge funds that do this.

Try a tenth of a penny per share trading fee to fund the SEC chasing down stock manipulators... not enough to hurt any small investors who want to trade or invest but enough to put a damper on the criminals who lobbied to go to decimal pricing with the elimination of the uptick rule.

All this churn by program traders "to provide liquidity" is bull crap. All it has done is siphon out the PE multiple like letting air out of a tire.... put fees on trading to fund finding those who trade to move the markets then jail them... PERIOD.

As for Lakshman, he doesn't listen to me.... but I keep trying

ECRI's Weekly Leading Index Keeps Climbing - Will Recession Call Hold?

Note in the second graph I show the market went from maybe 1000s to 1500s while WLI and WLI growth was low... under 10%... while WLI seems to have followed many of our seimcapx stocks that I believe peaked in 2004 and some have only now exceeded 10 year highs...

so... hard to say what an overall market is going to do even with WLI... I told Lakshman I think it is possible that the market low last year ALREADY discounted a recession... and we might avoid it only because of phoney bologna government spending and debt.
