Ten, this is the type of inefficiency within government that people just don't see -- unless you're a victim (or in my case, one who is involved in the process).

Never mind that failure to get this treatment would end up a patient facing far more difficult and expensive options.

Medicare is rife with astonishing inefficiencies that even most physicians never even know about. Merely enrolling a new provider can require 90 days -- meanwhile, BCBS, United Health, and other commercial insurances can handle it in a day or two (or at the worst, a week or two). Yet, Medicare still manages to enroll more fraudulent providers than anyone in the business.

These people demanding single payor don't have a clue WTF they're asking for.
