The public union leaders have their minions shout and bully, but at the same time they comfortably make quiet backroom deals for the benefit of the union officials and the politicians involved. never has there been such an obvious conflict of interests. The dems should champion the rights and working conditions of the public sector workers, not politicians and union officials.

Approval of this relationship is an example of voters unwittingly being influenced by lies. Employe rights and especially public sector employees have long standing state and federal protections.

I have been self employed my entire life. Never taken public assistance of any kind, including unemployment. But I support the concept of collective bargaining on the principle of balancing the concentration of power into corporate hands. The unions still live with the reality that if they ask for too much the company can just close up shop and move to another place. It is not iniquity when people stand up for themselves. That is just ridiculous to call it iniquity.
