All China has to do is dump all their US bonds into the open market. There will be no liquidity. The dollar would be dumped and stocks would be dumped. China has been buying gold. They are just waiting until they feel they have enough to win the economic war. Greshams law says that good money drives out bad. It's a sound law. China buys up enough gold, remonetizes it or backs its currency by it and overnight who wants fiat currency? Good money drives out bad. I think China will do it, they just aren't ready yet. They are divesting but don't want to cause a panic yet. They have it figured out and they know at which point in the last 10% of their holdings to cause the panic in retaliation. What is odumbo doing you ask?. Vacationing or golfing.

Also, the baby boomers are entering retirement, and for this reason they're not buying and spending as they did when they were earning, this could end the economic boom we've seen for a whole generation... this next generation may focus more on saving and less on spending, and if so then this could also slow the economy and curb inflation for another 20 years or more... just a hunch, but time will tell...
