My point exactly. Which is why I described it metaphorically as a "step back to evaluate" - this was not actually a comment on the price movement.

Given that BORL was at a 16 month high

... at the dizzy heights of $11. I can't help thinking that with a more complete disclosure of i) what exactly the new company intends to sell (i.e. is the existing VSGN sales plan still valid?) and ii) a more thorough examination of the strategic benefits of the acquisition, the price could actually have moved up on the news.

I would hardly characterize two bucks as a slight retreat. Did this have more to do with a lack of buyers than a glut of sellers? That would be my guess, but it's still a pretty hefty retreat if you consider $12 was for real, and I am not making any claims one way or the other on that one.
