It won't be Monday. I think the Japan market is closed ;-) Maybe Tuesday.

Edward, RE: Yamaichi...

The Japanese finance minister has asked Yamaichi to come up with a recovery plan. This of course implies that the Japanese gov. will prevent the liquidation of Yamaichi if the plan is acceptable. It further implies that the Japanese prime minister and their version of congress will approve the use of public funds in a timely manner.

It is my opinion that there are already too many if's. This does not bode well for US markets (or any market for that matter). The Japanese gov. (not just their PM) must publicly approve the use of public funds to counter these failures, and they must do it soon to prevent a major panic.

Regarding Iomega. Take this for what it's worth (nothing most likely), but in the last few weeks I have gone to 100% cash, day trading or penny trading only. FYI, my longer term Iomega was sold before it broke $30 so no expert here. I still believe in Iomega and I will be back in it, but for now I will watch from the sidelines for a bit.

Good luck to all in the weeks ahead, looks like choppy waters and rough sailing...

Regards,
