Thanks--this is fascinating. I have to stop and eat dinner and I'll read the rest of it. But I did not want to quit reading. I would not want to be slapped around and cursed into impotence by Ayn Rand (that did not happen to Greenspan). Sounds like the person (Rand) that I once heard on the radio.

Gordon: Thanks for the URL, quite an insight into AG and explains a lot of his mumbled statements, never clear what is he wants to do and what he has to do. I think however, that he recognizes the fact that only a very small segment of the population can afford the luxury of actual objectivism in on personal life (including AG's own life). Fortunately or unfortyunately, hmo sapiens is a social animal and society can accept individualism only to a certain extent. I wonder if Ayn Rand ever realized how close is her philosophy to that of purist communal (well should really be communist) philosophies.
