Al, > I happen to think that the Volt is a very interesting take on plug in hybrids and doesn't fit the over the top descriptions that winger morons have used on this thread to attack the company and Obama, as if he was responsible for the development of the Volt.

Obama is taking credit for saving the auto industry and is bumping up the tax credit on the Volt to $10K.

Sure, the attacks on Obama and the Volt sometimes reach ridiculous proportions, but there's also a lot of truth in them.

I still think Chevy made a huge PR mistake by calling the Volt an "electric vehicle" rather than a plug-in hybrid. That may be fueling some of the misinformation that opponents of the Volt are spreading. But ultimately that's the fault of GM and those taking credit for GM's resurgence, including Obama.

(CBS News) President Obama's approval rating has hit the lowest level ever in CBS News polling, according to the latest CBS News/New York Times survey. The drop may be partially attributable to rising gas prices.

Just 41 percent of Americans approve of the job Mr. Obama is doing as president, according to the poll
