Last summer, Lynne and I were having dinner with a friend in the now-destroyed gazebo. About 2/3 through the meal, this spider drops down right onto Lynne's plate. She about had a fit of apoplexy and wouldn't go back in the gazebo for a month. She was absolutely terrified of spiders.

We had wolf spiders. They came up through the downstairs drain for the heater. They are frightening, but not really dangerous. I hated stomping on them... If they had been a wee bit smaller I could have taken a cloth and picked them up to toss outside... argggg...
