Dear Poshkus, (heheheheh, Baltic wits here).
Yes, I was amazed and saddened about that poor persons loss. I bet there are a thousand rip offs(ie smart stock buys on advance news) for every story like that. The drill crews are followed (if they are drinking bar hopper types) by curious people who like to get an advance bit of data. The crews know this, and from time to time, lie about it, and up goes the stock for no known reason. Usually the geologist grabs the core, logs and samples it, daily, and the crew only knows what is there if they have some smarts. In gold camps they all know what looks good, and they all have stock buying friends.
The trouble in Timmins is there is a lot of barren carbonate/quartz, sp unless they see gold, or grab a fast assay sample they are risky gambles.
