Pipelines work off fees for moving products. It doesn't matter to pipeline companies if the producing companies make or lose money.

In the past, you've pushed the idea that north America is running out of oil and drilling can't change that so we shouldn't bother drilling. If that is true, there's little likelihood of a permanent price collapse that would make the tar sands or Bakken producers shut down. At any rate, the risk is the companies involved, not the publics.

So if the pipeline loses money they will continue to use it for tar sands oil?

The pipeline won't lose money. TRP does not build pipelines unless they have commitments in place from oil companies to make the line profitable.
