"Disagree totally. When Wal Mart employees don't even get health care covered and it is put on the public to subsidize Wal Mart by paying for their employees' health care something is seriously wrong."

Yes you are right something is SERIOUSLY WRONG. It is your premise that "Wal Mart employees don't even get health care" THEY DO.

Associate Health and Benefits
We continually look for new and innovative ways to offer our full- and part-time associates and their families benefits designed to meet their needs. At a time when health care costs continue to rise, our associates have access to an affordable, high quality, comprehensive benefits package.

We spend a lot of time listening to our associates, and based on their input, we’ve made changes to our benefits plans. Our new plans will provide more cash up-front to pay for eligible medical expenses, the potential to receive more income today through our bonus incentive programs, and incentives to save and help them plan for retirement.

Simplifying our medical plans
In a year when health care premiums are increasing, we are keeping costs low and offering medical plans for as little as $11. Some plans contain a new feature called a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA). Through this plan, Walmart will set aside $500 for an associate only or $1,000 for associates with dependents into an HRA, which will pay for eligible medical expenses before paying any deductibles or coinsurance. This will help alleviate up-front medical costs before our associates pay anything out of pocket.

We also offer Health Savings Account (HSA) plans that allow associates to save money from their paychecks, with the company matching that savings up to a certain amount. Additionally, we will continue to offer a variety of HMO plans in some states.

All Walmart medical plans include 100 percent coverage for eligible preventive services like annual check-ups, immunizations and more when associates visit network providers.

Planning for the future and sharing in the company’s success
Our associates count on us to provide them with a comprehensive benefits package, and our retirement and bonus incentive plans have been redesigned to make them more contemporary and relevant. When associates contribute to their 401(k), Walmart will match up to 6 percent of their pay to help them grow their retirement savings faster.

We’re also providing a way for associates to share even more in the company’s success today. We’re increasing bonus incentive opportunities for them and delivering cash earlier. Associates will now have the potential to receive additional incentive dollars without waiting for retirement to benefit from the company’s success.

Walmart employees are free to find a job somewhere else or get additional education in order to qualify for a job with the benefit package they prefer. That's what freedom is all about - you don't have bureaucrats whether gov or union breathing down your neck dictating how you will live your life. If the majority of Americans are willing to trade their individual freedoms for a system where politicians and union bosses constantly change their diapers - they've obviously lost the steely backbone that made them the leaders of the free world for a couple centuries.
