Employers try to attract the best qualified, most productive workers, therefore they would not shoot themselves in the foot by extending the 40hr work week. Herd mentality deminishes a human being - that's the direct result of being a union member. When a person competes with sharp work skills alone, they can take genuine pride in their accomplishments.
