The annualized return for 23 years of Democratic administrations is 11 percent, or four times the 2.7 percent annualized return during 28 years of Republican presidencies.

Wow I didn't know the spread was that great. So much for 'socialism' and 'redistribution of wealth' conspiracy theories huh?

Maybe you just owns stocks Nov-April when a Dem is president and forget it the rest of the time unless of course we are talking coming out of a depression type panic when the GOP leaves office like in 1933 and 2009 when you wanted to own the entire year?

And check out the Clinton years. That was when he had balanced budgets as well. You see, we really can have a booming economy without massive Federal intervention, if we govern well and let the free markets work. Clinton knew how to achieve that balance. Since then, we've gone to every extreme possible. Clinton's boom was real. It was done to excess, aided by Greenspan's low rates, but it created lasting value and a little thingy called the Internet. This "recovery" is not real and is creating nothing of lasting value, except a massive debt overhang.
