I said atheists in science and you're correct. They still have a problem with the creation event because of the religious implications.

We see that 100% of the Taliban are Creationists too not just the young earth bible guys here , how alike ... and we all lived happily ever after in the "clay epoch" of relgion's grand revelation . We even see Pharoahs in their simplicity being buried with statuettes containing special spirits & Chinese Emperors fashioning 1000 of clay soldiers like children will play with, thinking this makes them more powerful in the afterlife. Then there's the magic-breath-upon-the-waters before world was made & man came from clay hypothesis . But wait , how could God have created everything when there were "The Waters of the Deep " there to begin with ? What were these waters there already before spirit , ah ...questions questions. Before we sit down to breathing on the great potter's wheel that spun out a clay soldier "Adam" and his rib to make Eve like clay vessels to store oil in . (everyone had a clay pot in those days !) Geologic evidence does show massive global volcanism, gigantic tidal waves, seismic and extreme temperature swings on the Earth over a geologically incredibly long time frames . No coincidence that the Bible at Genesis 1:2 describes the Earth as flooded, desolate, and in darkness in the timeframes closely corresponding to these catastrophic events in the Earth's natural history. So it just makes one wonder how such idiocy as young earth Creationists like the Fundies here can even begin to rationalize their positions ? (Again whatever a child wants to believe it will , long as magic "breath" can be substituted anywhere they please. What was that purple dinosaur's name on PBS ?) * Mohammed who is speaking directly with the Big Guy even a few 1000yrs later comes up with not much else in detail and are we surprised ? Not really for just looks like someone was just too lazy and just copying their notes from someone elses book in class. There is ZERO evidence for or against "creation". Educated people cannot positively eliminate possibilities, however--even those which appear absolutely ludicrous! There is, however, absolute evidence against "Creationism" as proselytised by the Christian Dodo Birds. The biblical stories cannot be supported in any rational or logical framework, so they disprove themselves (easily!) and they may be easily discarded and dismissed as anything other than primitive tribal myths. If there was ever some sort of "creation" at some level or other, it owes NOTHING to any of the ridiculous,and risible, and insulting imaginings recorded and stored in any human mythologies! That is not debatable by rational people. It is simple and obvious FACT! But I don't need to tell you or most of the thread about that. It is only necessary to remind a couple of mindless social insects struggling NOT to crawl off of an ant hill...
