You know, (don't you), that recessions spawned by FINANCIAL COLLAPSES are always the worst, the longest and deepest of recessions, far longer and deeper than 'ordinary' business cycle recessions? (if you don't already know that I'd suggest you read Rogoff's works... such as his book "This Time it's Different".) This is the FIRST financial bubble-popping-crisis engendered recession that we have HAD since the Great Depression (which followed the boom/bust cycle of the 'Roaring Twenties' and the market collapse of 1929-1931.)
