Yes, but he didn't get to the balanced part until his second term. His first term was spent cleaning up the S&L mess and completing the turn of the economy.

I am still waiting to hear what Obama's opponents have to say about that. See how they conveniently change the topic when this point is brought up.

Of course they want it done overnite. They want to prove that Obama doesn't walk on water and make him wrong. There is little that comes out from the right these days that's very rational.

I have also noticed that for the past few days, the right wing talking heads on TV are equating political talk show hosts like Limbaugh and Ingraham to comedians like Letterman etc. These comedians want to draw a laugh with their comments. Limbaugh and Co. want to control people's minds with their comments.

Yes. Jon Stewart did a big sendoff last nite on that crap.........calling Rs hypocrities. There is no comparison between Letterman and Limbaugh. They play very different roles. Despite that obvious fact, the right tries to present Rush as an entertainer.......not the political crone he really is.

What everyone forgets is that Clinton and his predecessor prosecuted the hell out of the criminals and the S&L crisis was a poster child for how to dismember banks that were insolvent. This time around Obama has decided to take the opposite strategy of propping up the criminals and the insolvent banks. Not sure why he's doing the opposite of what succeeded the last time around. It ignores history and makes no sense.
