SB: Good comments. Personally, I just can't bring myself to go long anything in this environment. I worry about how quickly bids dry up in a crunch. I suspect that when the unwinding picks up a bit of momentum, and we move through 15% to 20% off the highs, margin calls will turn on the afterburners. I've a list of 14 or 15 companies that I really like. I'll buy none of them now, and all of them a lot cheaper on the back side of the coming debacle.
Another problem for me is that I'm not a particularly good short term trader. If I was, it might motivate me to take on a few longs.

What really has my adrenalin pumping is that the market is finally beginning to provide profits to the shorts. It's been a long while.
You've had some excellent and very profitable long calls which have been well deserved. Discipline pays off (waiting to buy when they've been swatted), and solid research improves the odds immeasurably.
Best, Earlie
