Can't use that rough winter excuse for rising oil prices.

There were record-setting temperatures for a fourth consecutive day today, marking the warmest St. Patrick's Day in 141 years.

Temperatures hit 81 at O'Hare International Airport in the early afternoon, according to the National Weather Service, higher than the mark of 74 degrees from 2009 to set a St. Patrick's Day record.

WGN-TV meteorologist Tom Skilling says that the area has only had 10 days in the 80s in March in the past 142 years. And it will likely continue Sunday., when temperatures are expected to hit 81 degrees -- the record is 74 degrees in 1969 -- according to Skilling.

Wednesday and Thursday temperatures of 81 degrees broke records set in 1995, and Friday's 82 degrees at O'Hare International Airport broke the record of 78 degrees set in 1945, officials said.
