Using the .xxx extension makes perfect sense. It isn't censorship, but it allows individuals to easily regulate what comes into their home.

And I think that it is important for parents to take the responsibility of regulating what their children have access to. I have a 12 year old son. He is allowed to be on the computer in the den. Not in his bedroom. He is not allowed to have a facebook page or any other social networking site.

I don't need laws to protect my son from the internet, I've got it covered just fine. It just requires taking an active role in your kid's life.
