Since da Vinci was illigitimate does not follow he was unwanted or would have been aborted , the statement of "every child a wanted child" meant only what normally be a general simple understood starting point & not something that every young girl is expected to do out of compulsion when not ready . That some genius could be lost attributed to this cause can also be looked at from other causes of death as well , who really knows they are myriad including war, famine , disease even natural abortings . As for the lock of God/Jesus hair it was just an after thought since mentioning Mary was impregnated by something (Holy Spirit) which opens up fascinating possibilities . If you did not understand the connection then don't run with it . But seems odd to me that since all these witnesses then we're utterly certain that this man was indeed performing such miraculous things & God himself it seems only natural that someone would have saved any number of easily obtained pieces of his personage , like a lock of hair . (while he strode about on his mission) This a native tendency of all times & people saving scraps of hair , relics of some famous personage for safekeeping and had i strode with God himself i certainly would have asked for a lock of hair or even a fingernail clipping or spent sandals ! There certainly many of these so called relics circulating all over europe for the longest time and all other manner of saintly nic knacks but this was the one God himself remember who performed miracles . And not one thing of him was saved by any of his disciples ....very strange . get it or don't get it , whatever u please .
