You didn't volunteer that you echoed the article's misunderstanding of Locke's position? I explained what the article was saying and how it wasn't hypocritical to say it. To do so, it's necessary to consider it from the author's perspective. In judging hypocrisy, what matters is not the correctness of its understanding but the internal consistency of the argument. In order to demonstrate internal consistency, the article's arguments must be considered on their face, misunderstood or not. I thought about commenting earlier on the ignorant misunderstanding of Locke's position that appeared in the Wa Post article. That would have been a more promising tack than claiming hypocrisy.
