Einstein's goals far exceeded the contemporary thinking of his day or life as he knew it and embarrassment is almost guaranteed to those who venture down life's rabbit holes.
Acquiescing to the everyday banality of one's peers in the hopes of avoiding embarrassment is nothing short of cowardly.
