I pay quarterly estimates multiplying my quarterly income by .37, writing the check and mailing it to the US Treasury. Then the government proceeds to piss much of it away. I realize different people have different tax brackets.

If Apple pays a dividend any money they bring back from overseas gets taxed on entry into the US and when they pay it out to you it gets taxed again. I'd hope that Apple could make some strategic investments that would Yield a better return, short or long run.
