See? I told you that a Hewlett Packard emulator running on MVS is a more effective way of migrating applications than using those silly old platform migration packages.

Now, if we just had an HP3000 emulator, we'd be able to lock in those millions of profits from those sites wanting to get off that old platform. I hear there are a bunch of old non-Y2K-compliant applications still running out there.

We'd have to do a cost justification, though, to see if it would be worth our time. Maybe we could just take a look at the Y2K market in that area to see if there is enough demand? If vendors that support that environment are making tons of money, then I think it would be safe to fire up a project to build said emulator.

Come to think of it, that sounds like a great nonproductive activity.
