NI,

Sorry if I wasn't clear. What I meant was the infrastructure of a 'complete' disk drive fabrication site. Just because they may have shut down parts of the line, doesn't mean they removed the equipment, jigs, testers, etc. They just have a 'layoff', like GM or Chrysler or Ford do, and when demand rises the workers come back to work... where are they going to go? The plant has a certain capacity capability and it must be of modern design to turn out the Champion drives.

Plus, you'll remember, they shut it completely down once before and were able to ramp back up. So I still would consider it a 'whole' asset from the 'Is it marketable?' point of view.

In fact, from a very paranoid point of view, it might just be that Amber is able to step in and 'arbitrage' for an outside player we have not seen, yet. Turning JTS into a division of another company, reverse splitting the huge stock overhead, and pocketing an 'arbitrage fee'. And because they may have enough votes, Amber can demand a board meeting, force the issue, and also counteract any 'poison pill' JTS thinks they have. Now are there any large disk drive companies out there that are having bottom line problems due to production or 'currency' costs??
X-files theme fades out here.. a slight wisp of Marley cigarette smoke drifts across the screen....

Folks, I worked out in the yard all weekend and O.D.ed on fresh air, but this mornings market will snap me back to form :-)
